Day 2: All about 3D printers (Tori Moore)

On our second day of 3D modeling, we had mostly focused on the 3D printers themselves.

After we had gone over some video's explaining the many different types of 3D printers, we had taken out two of our available printers. From those video's we had learned how 3d printers work, and how different types of printers, still create the wanted end result, as well as their pros and cons.

This was also when we had learned how to transfer the models that we had created (Lego and Beer bottle) to the printers themselves by putting them through UltiMaker.

We were able to print out our models on the 3D printers and that went really well, the transfer process from the computer to the printer was much easier than I expected.

Nothing had really gone bad with the printing process, the only difficult parts that I experienced would have to do with the modeling of the objects just because of the many steps involved for them to come out perfect. But I would be able to get through being Stumped by asking how others got through the same problems.

In the end I was very proud of and happy of the fact that I had learned so much about 3D printers from not originally knowing anything about them.
