The first things that we did for 3D modeling was download the Autodesk Fusion and UltiMaker Cura software's on our computers for us to be able to create 3D models.
We had gone over videos in class on how to use each software.

For the majority of the day though, we had learned how to make certain shapes within Autodesk to get used to how the system worked. specifically, we had started off with the simple shape of a Lego brick. In class we also lightly touched on the how to make the Beer bottle model.

I'd say that the lessons went pretty well, and I liked the fact that we could follow instructions though videos because it's something that you can always go back to, and the instructions given weren't too complicated.
The only problem that I ran into was that it seemed that the version of Autodesk I was using was different from the version in the videos, so following instructions that involved selecting things that looked different on my end made following along a little difficult at times. But I was able to get through most of them because differences weren't always too major. It also was useful to ask for help.
What surprised me were how many different controls and button there are to memorize when creating a 3D shape. Even for the simple Lego piece there were a lot of steps to follow to create it.
In the end I was proud of being able to overcome most of the confusions within the video's and finishing the Lego model before the end of school, despite it being the first 3D model I've made.
