Kickoff
Today was the first day of our 3D Modeling and Printing M-Term. After a short introduction to this course from Mr. Grisbee (what the course is, timeline for the course, etc.), we began downloading and installing our software for the 3D modeling aspect of this course. The downloading process took up most of our morning, but after lunch we were ready to start learning how to use the Fusion 360 software. We watched a tutorial on how to build a LEGO brick in Fusion, and then we made our very own LEGO bricks!
By the time I finished my LEGO brick, the day was almost over, and it was time to write our blogs. However, I was able to complete another tutorial, this one a beer bottle. The circular shape of the bottle was difficult to create, as I needed to create a spline of the rim and stem of the bottle, but the rotate command saved me a lot of time and energy. Overall, I am optimistic about this M-Term, and I am excited to continue learning how to model, and eventually print our designs.
