On day 1 I walked into the Tinkeria interested for the first day of our 3-D modeling and printing M-term. I have been interested in this subject for a few years now, ever since I learned about it. I was intrigued by the idea that if you had something you wanted to make, whether it be a cool trinket to put on your shelf, a piece to fix something that broke, or anything else, you could practically create it out of thin air. After sitting down, we talked about the software's we were going to be using throughout these two weeks. The first software was for the 3-D modeling part of our work and was called “Fusion 360”. Also, the second software was for turning our designs into something that the 3-D printer could print from, it was called "Ultimaker Cura".

To download the two software's, we went to room 120 in the High School where the internet was better. After a while of struggling, trying to get everyone’s computers ready, we finished getting everything downloaded. Soon later, as a group we started learning how the software’s worked by watching two videos. Then by ourselves, we watched/followed a video on how make a Lego brick in Fusion 360. I almost finished making mine decently quickly, but at the end I ran into some technical difficulties because I forgot my charger at home and my computer died. Luckily though, all of my progress was saved. Class eventually ended and I finishing the rest of the Lego and making the 3-D beer bottle we were assigned at my house.
Overall, it was a progressive day being able to learn how to use some of the tools in the software to use in the future and 3-D model two different things.
