Today in 3D Modeling and Printing with Mr. Grisbee, we started our day in the Tinkerina, going through what our schedule would be and general introductions to the class. We headed to room 120 to start setting up and installing fusion 360 + Ultimaker Cura. After that was finished, it was already time for lunch, which was a nice break considering I had been staring at a computer for around 3 hours. After lunch, we started following a turotial on making a 3d model of a lego brick.
In all honesty, it was pretty difficult to get a grasp of 3d modeling at first. We first started with learning the basics, how to move around the camera, making files for each part of the model, figuring out all the tools/the shortcuts for them, etc. I enjoyed being able to see first hand how to make models. Over all, I'd say the finished product made me feel proud, and it was a good first introcduction to 3d modeling.
