Day 4: 3D modeling challenges and phone case finalization (Tori Moore)

Today in class involved me finishing up my phone case model and solving the problems I came across when creating it.

The major problem that had me stumped in the beginning was how I was not able to create the back shape of the phone case following the videos instructions. My screen would also go blank when I tried to create a plane through two edges.

I was able to get through this problem though, with the help of Mr. Grisbee as he was able to figure out a way to create the back of the phone using a different method.

After that I had also learned how to create new sketch shapes, usually involving using the line tool. This mostly involved having a better understanding of how it works and how to cut out shapes in your object.

In the end I was very proud that I was able to at least finish the phone model because I was afraid that it would be incomplete. I will say, something that did go well was the extra detail of the design I decided to add to the back of the phone. It was very easy to apply, and I think that it will help the printing time reduce a little as well. Now, I have a ready iPhone case.
