Day 4: Today was the day that I got to print the phone case that I designed It took 4 tries and the final product took 4 hours and 13 minutes to print.
Try 1. When the phone case begins to print it is just random squiggles and its a mess (spaghetti)
Try 2. The supports do not stick to the platform. This causes the supports to peal up and catch onto the machine.
Try 3. We got past the supports and onto the actual printing, the support wasn't perfect, it was working but then the layer was kind of split in half, and it also broke.
Try 4. We had our fingers crossed and i all went over, we had the settings set to fine, so it took 4 hours and 13 minutes.
These are some pictures of the case printing in action.
Today there was defiantly a lot of trial and error for everyone. I enjoyed it though weirdly because when the project was done, I had that relief feeling...until, it was time to try the case on, after I had peeled off all of the supports it was time to check if it fit, and it was the SMALLEST bit too small. Either that or the plastic was just to ridged so we ordered some new kind of plastic that is more flexible. Today was a journey and a long wait. But it was all worth it in the end because we found solutions to our problems.
