Today was our first day of 3d modeling and printing. The goal of today's class was to be an introduction to Fusion 360. It started off with us all downloading the software Fusion 360 and Ultimaker, but we had some technical difficulties. Though it was nothing we could not handle, we quickly figured it out and jumped into our first lesson. Our first lesson what about Fusion 360's interface and how to navigate through it. The second lesson was about how to model objects in Fusion 360. This taught us how to extrude, add lines, scale, etc. Taking that knowledge just learned, we created a simple 2 by 4 lego brick, and it turned out great.
For our assignment for the day, we were told to create a simple beer bottle in Fusion 360. Using the information learned from the previous and current videos, I created a simple model of a beer bottle. Overall today was a great introduction to Fusion 360. We learned the basics of the software and how to navigate through it. We also learned how to 3d model and the many applications for it, I am very excited about what the next day holds!
